Label it what you want, but right now we’re gonna murder some excuses. If you’ve even had an inkling to get in better shape, don’t let these get in your way. Not being harsh, just being real.
#1 | I don’t have time!
Time goes where it wants unless you tell it where to go.
In reality, “I just don’t have time for it” means you value other things more. Some of those things should be more valuable to you, but if watching TV or surfing the internet late at night, or staying out drinking with buddies is on that list, ask yourself if it’s really more important to you than the alternative.
Like the saying goes, “a year from now, you’ll wish you had started today.”
#2 | It’s too freaking early / I’m not a morning guy
Let’s be real. None of us are morning guys when morning is that early. But like anything you do consistently, it becomes easier, and that consistency makes other hard decisions (like killing other excuses in more important areas) easier too.
The hardest part is showing up. The rest takes care of itself.
#3 | I need to get in better shape before I come
Let’s break this down again: this is an all-fitness-levels group of guys where encouragement is the only thing you’re gonna hear. And it’s FREE. And it WORKS. And it’s AWESOME.
You’d have a hard time finding a group this tight at a gym helping you reach your goals.
At the end of the day, we don’t want you to come just because we want guys here. But if part of you believes this would make a real difference in your life, then it will. All you have to do is show up, and then show up again.
